This year long class will spend 4-6 weeks on each of 6-7 eras of world  history, with a focus on western civilizations.  Possible eras studied will include Greek civilization, the Roman Republic and Empire, the Middle Ages, the Reformation, the British Empire, and the two world wars.  Emphasis will be on religion and political systems and the people and world views that influenced these eras.
