Scientific Observation

Class Meets: Thursdays, 12:30-1:30pm
First Semester

In this course, students will be observing and collecting data on the life cycle of a specific organism, a milkweed bug, as well as looking at the life cycles and the biotic and abiotic interaction in an ecosystem. Students will collect data and learn how to create a hypotheses based on the data.

  • Yellowstone
  • Saguaro National Park
  • Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary
  • Monongahela National Park
  • Mono Lake Tufa State Reserve
  • Florida Keys National Park
  • El Yunque Caribbean National Forest
  • Delaware Water Gap National Recreational Area
  • Cimarron National Grassland
  • Olympic National Park
This course is best for students aged 11-14 Lab fee: $20
