English History

Grades 8-12
Taught by: Ann Bowman
Class Meets: Thursdays, 11-Noon, First Semester

This history class will focus on the stories of one group of people, the kings and queens of England. Each week students will study one of these rulers and the impact that person had on the lives of the people around them. The class will tie the actions of these powerful monarchs with the events in Europe and the world of their time, with a specific eye on how these actions influenced future events. English literature will also be included in this course.

Text: The Story of Britain: A Narrative History by Rebecca Fraser (less than $20 from Amazon).
