Trade Prep has a new look!
Students can learn basic construction skills HANDS-ON! Measure, cut, drill, connect, scale, design, draw, diagram, estimate cost, calculate profit margin, market, sell, profit share, etc. Students will build outdoor furniture and a playhouse with instructions first, then customize, redesign, and build what they imagine! Designs will be judged and awards presented!
Products will be sold and/or donated to charity to gain business math and marketing skills. Students who have not completed the Trade Prep Certification will complete the text course for an additional credit. Students who have completed Trade Prep are encouraged to join the team as Superintendent. Course is offered Tuesday afternoons beginning Fall Quarter, 2009.
